A bit bored by what life has in store for them, grannies Billie and Frieda decide to take matters into their own hands about the time they have left on earth. They are slow in movement, yet young in heart. Together, the two are cheeky, charming, and adorable—and get away with almost anything. In “The Grannies,” these two older women share experiences of their wild and profound lives, as they follow their dreams and explore their passions.

About Bill and Fred Productions

Elysia Mc Mullen and Luisa Schmitz met during their time as students at Fontys Dance Academy in the Netherlands. One morning, they decided to make a short piece together, and just like that, Bill and Fred were born. McMullen and Schmitz went on to found the company Bill and Fred Productions and create their first full evening show—Adventures—in 2020. Together, Bill and Fred continue to break ground artistically, bringing professional dance and clown to new heights with their precise, humorous, and unique movement style.
