As Elysia Mc Mullen (FRED, she/her) was dancing her way through life, she decided it was time to explore what the world had to offer outside her home island of Éire. Fred’s expertise lies in improvisation, partner work, acrobatics, and theatricality. She graduated from Fontys in 2016 and has since worked as a performer and choreographer with several dance and circus companies around Europe. Fred’s movement quality is quirky, sharp, explosive, and vigorous. She is very well-organized; sometimes, she can even get a bit ahead of herself, insisting too much on her own ideas. Yet without Fred’s planning, there’s a good chance the duo would be stuck at some train station in a faraway land instead of here in New Haven, performing for all of you.
