Barack and Michelle Obama are executive producers on the film starring Colman Domingo and Chris Rock that will hit theaters and Netflix in November.

"Rustin," a film about Civil Rights Movement organizer Bayard Rustin, is screening for free in New Haven, before its official release in theaters and on Netflix, according to a news release. The showing at Yale University's Schwarzman Center on Oct. 28 will be followed by a talk from Bruce Cohen, an Academy Award-winning producer and Yale alumnus who worked on the film, and Toni-Leslie James, costume designer for "Rustin" and resident costume designer for Yale Repertory Theatre.

"Rustin" stars Emmy-winner Colman Domingo as Rustin, with a cast that includes Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Jeffrey Wright, and Audra McDonald. It's directed by five-time Tony-winner George C. Wolfe and produced by Cohen, as well as Tonia Davis and George C. Wolfe of Higher Ground, the production company founded by Barack and Michelle Obama.

Higher Ground's Barack and Michelle Obama are among the film's executive producers.
