The YASA Cultural Show & Banquet is a culmination of the Week’s events. The cultural show (7pm-8:30pm) will have a virtual performance from Teni, live student performances, and a fashion show. We will then walk over to the House for the dinner (8:30pm-9:30pm), marking the closing ceremony of Africa Week.

This year, Africa Week will focus on reconnecting with home – something that we’ve all missed and would undoubtedly want to experience again. As we welcome this new shade of normalcy, it is also a time for reflection and a time to celebrate our unique identities and how we contribute to the vibrant African landscape. Africa Week this year aims to bridge connections by exploring me, myself, and different facets of African innovation. By looking inward, we are not restricting ourselves to individualism. We seek community, connections, creativity, and cultures that are truly beautiful. We welcome everyone to celebrate the Motherland with YASA!

Events are open to all members of the Yale community.

Africa Week Sponsors 2021 are...
