Moonlight Games is a series of trivia, African games and fun activities catered towards the wider Yale community of professors, world fellows, and students. Questions cover a wide range of topics related to the African continent ranging from flags and pop culture to understanding the current political climate of the continent.

This year, Africa Week will focus on reconnecting with home – something that we’ve all missed and would undoubtedly want to experience again. As we welcome this new shade of normalcy, it is also a time for reflection and a time to celebrate our unique identities and how we contribute to the vibrant African landscape. Africa Week this year aims to bridge connections by exploring me, myself, and different facets of African innovation. By looking inward, we are not restricting ourselves to individualism. We seek community, connections, creativity, and cultures that are truly beautiful. We welcome everyone to celebrate the Motherland with YASA!

Events are open to all members of the Yale community.

Africa Week Sponsors 2021 are...

  • The Afro-American Cultural Center
  • The MacMillan Center, Council on African Studies
