Holistic care has long been associated with healing and well-being in healthcare spaces. But what if holistic care was imagined outside the realm of medicine and illness? The goal of this Session is to explore the meaning of holistic care through different disciplines and perspectives and ask how we can bring holistic care to our everyday life.

Lead Sessionist

Noah Humphrey DIV '23 is a second year Masters of Divinity candidate with an interest in indigenous healing and holistic care. Through enacting poetry and movement as forms of spiritual wellness (i.e tai chi, lua); advocating for marginalized groups and social issues; and last but not least understanding communal spaces, Noah seeks to become a pastor and a chiropractor that utilizes prayer.

Format
This Session will be taking place virtually on Zoom webinar. The first 60 minutes will be discussion among 12 Sessionists, and the last 30 minutes will be opened to audience Q&A, facilitated by YSC Sessions Fellow Jon-Paul Lapeña.

Expectations
11 will be promoted as Sessionists, all others are welcome to join as audience members. Only the 12 Sessionists will (and are required to) be on camera, and will receive a Grubhub meal voucher offered by Yale Schwarzman Center. Audience members (off camera all the time) will be able to raise questions via the Q&A function in the last 30 minutes. Session will NOT be recorded.
