Krystal Augustine is a vibrant community activist and motivational speaker based in New Haven, Connecticut. She is the founder of Six Seventeen, a motivational platform centered on belonging, purpose, and personal growth, created to inspire meaningful connection and dialogue across personal and professional spaces.
Krystal has been an active volunteer in the New Haven community for many years, serving as a Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children, along with contributing to various other community-focused capacities. She is also a proud member of the Yale University Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Committee, supporting initiatives that honor Dr. King’s legacy through reflection, service, and community engagement.
Professionally, Krystal serves as the senior administrative assistant for the Yale Alumni Association Class Groups, where she works closely with alumni and volunteer leaders.
Since 2022, Krystal has developed and hosted interdisciplinary sessions and mixer events in partnership with the Yale Schwarzman Center. Community Connect evolved from the beloved I Belong series and marks the fourth year of celebrating inclusivity and collaboration in this unique way.
Through her professional role, community engagement, and work through Six Seventeen, Krystal is committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected.
