Alice Matthews is the Jock Reynolds Fellow in Public Programs at the Yale University Art Gallery. Before joining the Gallery, Alice received a Fulbright award to carry out archival research, at the Kiki Kogelnik Foundation in Vienna, on the speculative futurisms that emerged both with and against the visual, political, and technological culture of the Space Age. In 2021 she received an M.A. from the Williams Graduate Program in the History of Art, Williamstown, Massachusetts, where she also worked as a graduate research assistant to visiting scholars in the Research and Academic Program of the Clark Art Institute. At the Gallery, she continues her commitment to public-facing art history by organizing inclusive, interdisciplinary programming for New Haven’s many audiences, including long-standing community members and temporary interlocutors alike. She hails from Hamden, Connecticut.
