The Well is located on the lower level of Yale Schwarzman Center, 168 Grove Street, New Haven, CT 06511.

No late seating, please arrive by 5:20pm. 

Free and open to Yale students, faculty and staff ages 21+. 

Registration opens Friday, March 29 at 10am EST.

Who wore it best? Explore how terroir affects expression.  Compare wines from the new world and the old world made from the same grape varieties. Experience the effect of different regions side by side so you can sense the nuances in the resulting flavors and aromas.

Taught by New Haven sommelier Janine Sacco, Fine Wine and Sales Representative with Skurnik. Presented by Yale Schwarzman Center Hospitality. This event is for those that are 21 years of age or older.

Janine Sacco is one of the rising stars of Connecticut’s wine scene.  After working in some of New York and Connecticut’s more storied restaurants [Gotham Bar and Grill, Eleven Madison Park, Union League Café, etc], she made her formal entry into the world of fine wine as the Wine Director of The Wine Thief on Crown Street in New Haven in 2013.  She is an advanced sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, a diploma candidate with the international testing body WSET, and a certified specialist in both spirits and sake.
