Community Connect: The Compassion Edition is an opportunity for students, staff, faculty, and community members from New Haven and beyond to enjoy a relaxed and welcoming evening with light refreshments, music, and meaningful conversation. This gathering creates space to share experiences, build relationships, and celebrate the connections that unite us.

Hosted by Krystal A. founder of Six Seventeen, a motivational platform dedicated to belonging, purpose, and personal growth, Community Connect evolved from the beloved I Belong series and marks our fourth year of celebrating inclusivity and collaboration in this unique way. Krystal is committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected, reflecting our shared commitment to a vibrant, engaged community.

Rhythm Brewing Company beverages will be available for purchase at the bar. 

Community Connect: The Compassion Edition is hosted by New Haven community activist and Yale Senior Administrative Assistant Krystal Augustine, in partnership with Yale Schwarzman Center, Yale University Office of the Secretary & Vice President for University Life,  Yale Library Staff Development & Engagement, and Yale Department of Psychology.
