Yale's largest dining hall, Commons is the most central lunch spot on campus. Commons may be requested for events that do not conflict with the weekly dining operations. If the requested event is on a weekday during the academic year, the event cannot start until 6:30pm or later. The requested event start time may need to be delayed depending on the room layout and catering services setup as well.
The space use fee is $1,000 and there will be additional fees for catering, production services, and hospitality labor.
Best suited for:
- Receptions
- Dinners/banquets
Not suited for:
- Performance events
- Weddings
- Hybrid meetings with a video conference component
- Events with a large demand for power. It is best to plan on any necessary equipment running on its own battery power.
