Janine Sacco is one of the rising stars of Connecticut’s wine and beverage scene. After working in some of New York and Connecticut’s most storied restaurants—including Gotham Bar and Grill, Eleven Madison Park, and Union League Café—she made her formal entry into the world of fine wine as Wine Director of The Wine Thief on Crown Street in New Haven in 2013.
Janine is an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, a diploma candidate with WSET, and a Certified Specialist in both Spirits and Sake. She brings a wealth of beverage knowledge to the classroom along with an engaging and approachable teaching style that makes even complex subjects accessible.
