David Jon Walker is a graphic designer and educator based in New Haven, CT. He graduated with an MFA from Yale in 2023. As a designer, David’s work reexamines social cues and history, shedding new light on the past with vigor and perspective. His ongoing personal lettering project displayed on Instagram has cultivated a distinct visual aesthetic that informs his story-driven exhibitions, campaigns, and type designs. His award-winning work is recognized by AIGA and the Type Directors Club, and his wide-ranging clientele includes The Poster House, the Birmingham Museum of Art, the National Museum of African American Music, the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Art Institute of Chicago, Princeton University Library, and Yale University. He has held academic positions at Middle Tennessee State University, Austin Peay State University, Yale School of Art, and Vermont College of Fine Arts.
