Thokozile means happiness in the Ngoni language and with this spirit, Thoko aims to spread joy by helping to foster community at Yale as a communications coordinator at YSC. Thoko worked as a production assistant at Soka Performing Arts Center in Southern California and has experience serving as an events organizer with Habitat for Humanity Women's Build in Orange County. She is doing her Master of Forestry at Yale School of the Environment and has an undergraduate specialization in Environmental Studies. Thoko is from Lusaka, Zambia, and enjoys poetry, music, and photography that remind her of home.
