Sarah Ficca is a dynamic professional with a multifaceted background that spans the realms of political campaigns, media production, arts management, and community engagement.  As Marketing Manager, she intends to use her creative and technological skills to amplify the Center's mission.

Prior to working at Yale, Sarah showcased her exceptional organizational and strategic skills as the Field Director for Mayor Justin Elicker's 2021 Re-Election campaign. Her efforts played a pivotal role in securing Mayor Elicker's continued service to New Haven's community.

Sarah's media prowess shines through her role as a Producer at PBS, where she contributed to high-quality content production. She was honored with an Emmy for her work on the Able Lives TV Series, a testament to her dedication to impactful storytelling.

Throughout her career, Sarah has held the role of Communications Manager at the Arts Council of Greater New Haven, where she effectively promoted New Haven's rich cultural landscape and supported its artistic endeavors.

Sarah's excellence has been recognized with the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Media Award and the Schar Jewish Arts Award, underscoring her ability to bridge diverse cultural narratives. She has also been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Prize from the University of Hartford and with the Hoads Digital Arts Award.

A native to New Haven, Sarah's deep affection for the city is rooted in her appreciation for its vibrant people, diverse culinary offerings, and rich cultural resources. Sarah serves as a dedicated volunteer for the New Haven Democracy Fund. Her passion for community-building and her advocacy contribute to the city's ongoing development and prosperity.

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Hartford where she earned a BFA in Media Arts with a minor in Arts History, Summa Cum Laude.
