Joel brings his can do attitude and experience in university arts production to Yale Schwarzman Center. His interest in the advancement of technology and incorporating that into theatrical settings informs the innovative productions and novel experiences produced at the center.
His past roles as Associate Technical Director for the Emery Community Arts Center at the University of Maine Farmington, and as Theater Technician for Santa Monica/Malibu Unified School District, inform his ability to direct a fast paced and collaborative arts team. Joel isn’t afraid to drive the truck and lead his team in executing events in the five plus multi-purpose venues we offer, and provides his expertise equally whether working with national acts or student productions.
Joel served in the regular Army from 1998 to 2001, stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for his entire service.
