‘Siddhartha, She’ Pre-Concert Talk

The Yale Philharmonia, YSM faculty artists, and Yale Choral Artists come together with singers from Yale Opera, the Yale Glee Club, and the Yale Voxtet for the East Coast premiere of Siddhartha, She, a major new work by “unusually skilled, communicative composer” (The Baltimore Sun) Christopher Theofanidis, with a libretto by Melissa Studdard, and director and costumes designer Anne Patterson.

Conducted by guest conductor Jeffrey Douma, Siddhartha, She brings together performers across generations, disciplines, and ensembles—a collaboration that showcases the depth, range, and creative force of the Yale community on one stage.  TICKETS for the performance must be secured through the Yale School of Music. Yale student tickets are free* but still require registration. 

The Schwarzman Center will host this Siddhartha, She  pre-concert talk featuring Douma, Theofanidis, Studdard, Patterson, and Yale Religious Studies professor Dr. Sonam Kachru. This conversation will be moderated by Director of Yale University Press Niko Pfund.

*Single tickets start at $13, Yale faculty/staff start at $9, students free*
