Now in its 31st year, Pink Martini is Oregon’s most famous “little orchestra” — a dozen musicians performing songs in over 25 languages around the world. Founded by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in 1994, the band presents a mélange of catchy old-fashioned pop, global color, big band sound, and Hollywood glamour, with a mission of multi-cultural connection and inclusion. The Washington Post has called it “rich, hugely approachable music, utterly cosmopolitan yet utterly unpretentious.”

Pink Martini has performed with more than 75 orchestras internationally, including the LA Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony, and the BBC Concert Orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The band has performed four sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall, opened the remodeled Museum of Modern Art in New York, and played multiple sellouts at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Regular collaborators include Storm Large, Edna Vazquez, Jimmie Herrod, and international singing sensation Meow Meow. The band released the acclaimed EP Bella ciao in Spring 2025 and plans a new full-length album by end of 2026.
