Born in Ink

Born in Ink

In this piece, I use the motif of ink to capture my homesickness as a Chinese immigrant. Ink captures the memories, the culture, and the landscapes of my childhood. My homesickness grounds my identity, and I express that artistically with ink, but it also clouds everything and disconnects me from the present.
