Simone Sobers is a movement educator, choreographer, wellness practitioner, and founder of The Boss Chick Dance Workout®, with more than 25 years of teaching experience. She holds an MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication from Boston College. A classically trained dancer with more than 35 years of movement experience, Simone has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop, including study with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Nederlands Dans Theater, and has worked alongside artists including Cardi B, Jason Derulo, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Busta Rhymes.
Simone’s work sits at the intersection of dance, fitness, somatic wellness, and embodied self-development. She is a certified personal trainer and sacred sex coach and the creator of Twerkasana™, an Afro-Caribbean somatic movement practice that uses breath, hip-centered movement, rhythm, and intentional embodiment to support mind-body connection and self-expression. She is also the creator of The YARA Method and Feminine Alchemy Code™, bringing together her backgrounds in psychology, movement, fitness, and embodiment.
For more than a decade, Simone has used culturally rooted movement to create spaces where women can sweat, dance, reconnect with their bodies, and experience movement as both wellness and celebration.
