Sara Nelson ’78 is Senior Vice President and Executive Editor at HarperCollins. She has acquired a varied list of fiction and nonfiction, including the New York Times instant bestselling novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz and many others. Her titles – including The Perfectionists, Woman on Fire, Last Train to London, The Escape Artist, We All Want Impossible Things – are a mix of historical and contemporary fiction, as well as biographies and history.
Prior to joining Harper, Sara held many leadership roles at numerous other respected publications and media companies. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of Publishers Weekly, the Book Editor at Oprah’s O Magazine, and the Editorial Director for Books and Kindle at Amazon.
