Jonathan A. Burke is a Los Angeles based sound designer and mixer for Theater, Opera and Live Events.
Recent designs include Sweeney Todd at La Mirada and the new musical 3 Months Later at the Charlie Chaplin Stage in Hollywood.
Last summer Jonathan designed and mixed Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl. Other Bowl shows include Kinky Boots, Everybody Rise! A Sondheim Celebration and Boublil and Schonberg’s Do You Hear the People Sing? This past year he designed the sold out runs of 44 The Musical In LA, Chicago and New York City.
Jonathan has mixed operas at Detroit Opera, Kennedy Center, and for The Industry. Some highlights are Stranger Love at Disney Hall and the site-specific opera Star Choir presented at the Mount Wilson Observatory.
In addition to designing, Jonathan teaches Sound Design and Mixing at UCLA School of Theater. He is a member of USA 829 and TSDCA.
