Dilara Naska (she/her) is a Turkish-Albanian performing artist from Chicago and a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her practice spans directing, assistant directing, acting, writing, choreography, music, and singing, blending theater, dance, and opera-adjacent forms through collaboration and experimentation. Her directing and assistant directing credits include Karima’s City by Yussef El Guindi, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, Notes on Decay by Sydney Greenhill, and the co-direction of The Seagullmachine. As a performer, her credits include Oedipus Rex, Richard II, Everybody, 9 Studies for a Dance Opera, Eurydice, and As You Like It, as well as musical theater productions such as Matilda, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Tuck Everlasting. This production marks her professional debut as Assistant Director with The Comet / Poppea.
