Born and raised in Virginia, Dareon Blowe is an interdisciplinary dancer, creator, and educator who is fascinated by hybridity and investigative movement research. He received his BFA from The George Mason School of Dance under the leadership of Susan Shields and Karen Reedy. Dareon is an alum of The School at Jacob’s Pillow, SpringBoard Danse Montreal, and in 2021 he trained under MOTUS the company led by Diana Matos. He has performed works by Kyle Abraham, Sidra Bell, Micaela Taylor, Camille A. Brown, Rena Butler, and more. Post Grad, Dareon has worked with companies & choreographers like RUBBERBAND, Doug Varone & Dancers, NVA & Guests, JA Collective, and Kayla Farrish. Outside of his performing career, Dareon has taught and created at intuitions like Gibney Dance, PeriDance Center, BigKids Summer, Boston Arts Academy, Governor's School of the Arts, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts ,and Colgan School of Performing arts. As a choreographer, he has presented his own work at Arts on Site, 3AM Theater, and Battery Dance Festival: YVD.
