Cody Bowers

Cody Bowers: Countertenor

In the 2024-2025 season, Cody Bowers made his Ars Lyrica debut as Didymus in Handel's Theodora, where ACTX praised his "impeccable intonation and a pure clear voice." He also performed as alto soloist in a fully staged world premiere of St. Markus Passion with Concert Theatre Works and Oregon Bach Festival. In the 2025-2026 season, performance highlights included performances as The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas with Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra where he was described as having “a supercharged voice and sexy, subversive stage manner” (Seen and Heard International). Bowers also makes two significant debuts: as alto soloist in Messiah with the Oratorio Society of NY at Carnegie Hall, and at St. Petersburg Opera in the title role of Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto.
