Babz Rawls-Ivy happily works to hold the stories and images of local and global Black people sacred, believing print media is a great way to engage, support, and add to the rich conversations taking place in Black communities locally and abroad. The Inner-City News, where she serves as Editor-in-Cheif, is a 30+ year old award winning weekly print publication published by Penfield Communication, Inc. in New Haven CT. The Inner-City News is a Black-owned legacy publication, one of only two Black print publications in New England.

Every Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., LoveBabz LoveTALK (LBLT) catches up with all the interesting newsmakers in and around Greater New Haven and beyond. Babz is folksy, intimate and engaging. Talking with folks is one of her finest assets.
Babz is also a nationally recognized blogger and social media thought leader. She is a popular podcaster and frequently sought after guest for local and national radio, television, and podcasts appearances.
Babz holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Barber-Scotia College, a Historically Black College in Concord, North Carolina. She is a National Urban Fellow with a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College, City University New York. Babz is also a certified Spiritual Director, Mercy Center, School Of Spirituality & Practicum, Madison, Connectocut. And she is currently a 1L law student at Western New England University Law School.
