Andrea Miller (Founder / Artistic Director)

Choreographer Andrea Miller is the artistic director and founder of GALLIM, a New York City-based dance company dedicated to dance making, dance education, and community building. A creator and collaborator for dance, film, fashion, and the visual arts, Miller is known for her exploration of the essential elements of human existence and the alchemy of movement and performance. Her works are performed worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, Jacob’s Pillow, BAM, The Wallis, Guggenheim Museum, White Cube, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, and Théâtre National de Chaillot de Paris among others. Recent commissions and collaborations include English National Ballet, New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Hermès, A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham and Rambert.

Ms. Miller is a Guggenheim, Sadler’s Wells, New York City Center, and Princess Grace Fellow. Her repertoire, creative methodology, and dance training are taught through GALLIM’s School of Movement as well as institutions including The Juilliard School, New York University, Barnard College and Harvard University among others. Miller is a graduate of The Juilliard School and serves on the board of Chelsea Factory and the Doris Humphrey Foundation.
