Her background includes experience in marketing and design gained through her family's cacao business in Eastern Visayas, Philippines.
Beyond her professional interests, Airi enjoys creating watercolor paintings often incorporating themes of women and nature in her work. She also actively supports the local art community by engaging with small artists in pop-up booth settings back in her home country.
At Yale, she focuses on social forestry with interest in environmental justice and policy analysis. She believes art display the consciousness and encapsulates the relevant social themes happening in the conscious and subconscious. Art is also a tool in preserving local knowledge, showcasing identity, and promoting advocacy. Through her role, she is developing an understanding of key themes as they emerge and manifest in real-world contexts.
