kNoname Artist | Roderick George is a multidisciplinary performance company, founded in Berlin in 2015 and now based in New York City. The collective uses art as both protest and healing, seeking to reclaim agency and reflect the times we live in, drawing equally from history, current events, and cultural origins as sources of expression. The company was born from George’s awareness of the deep divisions shaped by colorism, class, and socio-economic inequality, yet it also carries an undercurrent of joy and hope, fueling its ongoing growth. At its core, kNoname Artist shares powerful, evocative stories through raw, percussive, and fluid movement interwoven with dialogue and humor. Its vision continues to evolve, blending dance, music, and visual landscapes into immersive works that explore queerness, Blackness, and human rights. kNoname Artist has performed at festivals such as Festival Quartiers Danses, Suzanne Dellal, Kaatsbaan Cultural Park, Zurich Tanzhaus, Hollins University, New York Live Arts, Pavillon Noir| Ballet Prejlocaj, Sophiensæle Festspiele, Pocantico Art Center, Fall for Dance North/NIGHTSHIFT, and The New York City Center’s Festival Fall for Dance 2024 and 2025.
