LEAP Year Event Tour & Dinner - 'Shining Light on Truth: Black Lives at Yale & in New Haven'
Join Michael Morand, Charles Warner, Jr., and David Jon Walker, from the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library for a tour of Shining Light on Truth: Black Lives at Yale & in New Haven. The exhibition, co-produced with and on display at the Yale Schwarzman Center, puts back at the center of local storytelling people who have always been central to local history. The exhibition celebrates Black community building, resistance, and resilience.
Following the private tour at Yale Schwarzman Center, guests will proceed to dinner at The Elm City Club.
- 5pm - Participants may choose to attend the LEAP Year event reception at the Dixwell Q House, 197 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut
- 5:45pm - Tour of Shining Light on Truth: Black Lives at Yale & in New Haven begins at Yale Schwarzman Center, Rotunda, 168 Grove Street, New Haven, CT 06511
- 7pm - dinner at The Elm City Club, 155 Elm Street, New Haven, CT 06511
