Celestial Garden: Meet & Greet with Leo Villareal ’90

Whether you were among the first to experience Celestial Garden (Yale) or have yet to take in this mesmerizing work, we invite you to meet the artist, Yale alum Leo Villareal '90, in our iconic Dome. 

This unique iteration of Celestial Garden (Yale) employs a suite of ten projectors that map the dome’s intrados and features an original soundscape. Villareal, whose work explores the physicality of light in both the spatial and temporal dimensions, uses custom software to orchestrate the perpetually evolving, abstract compositions, inspired by nature’s intricate, ever-changing patterns. The result is a dynamic and continuously unfolding interplay of light and sound. 

Celestial Garden (Yale) is free and open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12-6pm with extended hours on Thursdays until 8pm.
